Sake Tuyas 121
Toxic Shocks 97
The rematch of the July 3-point game did not disappoint! Fans got a taste for the intensity in the first 5 jams…with the jams almost always being called off before either jammer got a chance to score. In this highly defensive game, blockers Sofa Queen Sweet and Desi Scarnaz were anchor points for the mean green walls that held back the Sake jammers. The halftime score was low—53-35—with the Shocks on top. The Sakes re-focused during halftime with the help of their coach Marshal Art, and came back on the track with a purpose: make it to the championship game to defend their title. Slowly but surely, The Merchant of Menace and Hollicidal started eating away at the Shocks lead. Even the impenetrable Sake walls containing Ice Sickle and ICU Dead weren’t able to hold back Shock jammer Jammunition, and the score flip-flopped back and forth throughout the second half. A late surge for the Sakes gave them the lift they needed at the right time, and the game ended with the Sakes winning 121-97.
Players of the Game were The Merchant of Menace for the Sakes and Jammunition for the Shocks.
